Rimmel- Urban Seductress Palette

 The Rimmel Urban Seductress Palette

Well, I did not appreciate this palette when it once available in Malaysia. I started realize that this is a good basic combination set palette after I learn makeup in You Tube...

Price: US$ 12.81 (not included shipping)

I've been searching for this palette all over the Rimmel's counters and as well as at Sasa but still failed. At last, I found this at Ebay. I'm so regret not buying it while still available in Malaysia because the shipping was way too expensive~ (I did bought anyway...)

The most warm tone combination set I ever own..

This palette contains of:

9 Eyeshadows (on the left)
3 Powder Blushers (at center)
9 Lip Glosses (on the right)

 Dry Eyeshadow Swatches

The eyeshadows may look chalky on the swatches but in person, they don't when applying on the lids. All colors are equally pigmented. The most stand out/ pigmented would be swatch at the most right side. I love all the shades! To be details, they are..

1  matte shade
7 shimmer/ sheen shades
1 glittery/ shimmer shade

Lip Gloss Swatches

Generally, they all not my favourite because there is a kind of smell (chemical smell~). They all are quite sticky in nature but they look good and pigmented in the swatches! On my lips, I only like the bubble gum pink (2nd on the left). It looks so barbie- like on my lips.. The finishing are:

1 plain gloss
5 shimmery glosses
3 glittery glosses

Dry Blusher Swatches

All three blushers are in sheen glow finishing. They all are very pigmented especially the orange shade! I loves all their blushes. The good thing about this palette is that you can have the orange base or pink base cheeks! The light pinky shade at middle allows me to make a perfect transition color on my cheeks!

Christian Dior- Expert Travel Studio

The packaging and casing are a little conservative for me but I guess people likes it because it is classic~

I do enjoy the CD Expert Travel Studio! With the price of RM 250, I able to try out their products. This is a rare product that you'll never find at local department stores. It is exclusively sell at International Airports. I'm such a fan of all kinds of combination set. This set is perfect for me who wants to try branded item and yet reluctant to pay more~ Haha..

Here are my thoughts about the products:

Eyeshadows
As you can tell, they all have pearl- like finishes except the second shade from the left. Well, basically they all have signature texture as CD's regular eyeshadows. I do not adore nor do not hate them neither. Because I have such an oily skin which looks greasy if I'm wearing something shimmery, pearl- like or creamy products through out the day. And it is difficult for me to bring this set for travelling to do my eyes makeup as there is no matte shade that can balance up the entire look.If you are wondering how about the only matte shade in this set, well I can tell you it serve no purpose at all for me! Why? First, it contains of chunky glitters that will never adhere! It looks weird~ (probably the worst shadow that CD owns)

From Left to Right

Concealer in Light Beige
I do not adore this product either. For your information, my dark circles are not too bad but yet I don't feel like this product is doing the job. The product is creamy but it won't set under my eyes. It remains creamy and do crease easily on my under eyes even though after I'd set it with powder foundation..

Diorskin Extreme Fit- Supermoist
Flawless & Moist Extreme Wear Makeup in Light Beige
This is their best product that I ever tried! Probably the best cake powder foundation I ever tried too! The powder is super fine and it blends really flawlessly into my skin. I especially like to apply it under my eyes and T- zone because it can control oil on my face even after a long hours!

Diorblush
Glowing Colour Powder Blush in Raspberry
Well, no comment for this product. It is just a regular pinky blush with some sheen which easily find anywhere. The texture is not silky nor smooth. Colour is more to peachy pink with some silver shimmers. The finishing is more likely to be sheen glow.

From Left to Right

Lipbalm
Non- greasy and no fragrance.I'd tried out to use over the night. It is not the best lip balm that I ever use.

Dior Addict Ultra- Gloss Reflect
I observed that in the pan, the gloss really shows some multiple colour of fine glitters but it doesn't really show up on my lips. Not as "Ultra- Gloss Reflect" as described, I would say..

Dior Addict High Color
Both two swatches at the right are fairly pigmented. I would say that the colours can be build up by layering..

From Left to Right

Crayon Eyeliner Pencil in Black
It is not the best crayon eyeliner that I own. It is not "black" enough and not lasting at all.

Lipliner Pencil in Linen
It match my nude lips color well. Not much comment as this product is quite basic.

Their brushes came along in the set as you see..

I like the double ended pencil brush! Perfect for detail crease work and lash lines application. I have no comment for both sponge applicator and blush brush.

Diorshow Iconic Mascara
Do gives me volume and black enough to show up my lashes. It does smudge under my eyes.. I wonder why so many You Tubers like this mascara~ For me, it is just a regular mascara..

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

 NYX claims that there are..
not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It's like nothing you've experienced before. It's lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.

YES! They are accurately described BUT...
1. Within a minute, my lips experienced dryness and the lip cream creating an extreme "painted- like" look!
2. Not suitable for people who has chapped or tendency of chap lips. It will definitely goes on ugly on your lips.
3. Even though my lips are not chap, it will eventually causing chapping after a while I wore it (within half hour!)
4. When I unscrew the lip cream cap, the STRONG vanilla smell causing me cannot breath well. (Haha.. got choked!) Maybe because of I'm not a fan of vanilla~

Price: S$ 11.50 each

My Nude Lips. Do you see that? There is a hyper pigmentation on my middle lower lip.

Red Earth: Disco Angel Multipurpose Makeup Palette

 DISCO ANGEL
Multipurpose Makeup Palette

 From Left to Right:
Shimmer Blush (Dancing Beauty)
- For me, I think this shade is too light to be blush. Because it is so~ shimmery, I can't use it either for highlight too. The shimmers are noticeable. I don't mean it is big particle but just TOO shimmery.. Don't worry, I still can use this as eyeshadow!

Shimmer Shadow (Blue Angel)
- This is the most interesting kind of Blue with hint of Teal shade. I adore the color and the feeling when I swatch it with my finger.

Shimmer Shadow (Pretty Woman)
 - This is a purple duo chrome- like with essence of indigo shade. Special like I ever seen but it needs few swatches to build up the intensity..

Shimmer Shadow (Luna Dust)
 - I personally think this shade is quite easy to find in market no matter cheap or high end cosmetics. Yes, it is very shimmery and almost high gloss- like in shade. It is a bit of wet to touch when I trying to pick up the color no matter on my finger or on my brush.

Shimmer Shadow (Glam Star)

- This is also kind of wet to touch feeling and the shade is actually in dark bronze which is quite easy to find in the high end market. This shade really reminds me of "vintage" shade from Still Glamorus Cosmetics.Or maybe I shall show you how much of difference when I swatch it side by side..

Can you differentiate which is which? Unidentifiable, right?
The answer is.. Left: Glam Star and Right: Vintage

From Left to Right:

High Gloss Lip Color (Rocking Rose)
- I don't feel the color is in high gloss at all. It feels like lip conditioner! Moisturizing and Oily- feel like on my lips. The color did not show up at all on my lips too!

High Gloss Lip Color (Pink Wonderland)
- Same feeling like Rocking Rose. No color show up either!! Actually if you see this shade up close, you will be able to see gold and pink sparkles but again...you can't even tell in swatch or on my lips too..

Overall, good investment  for me. This is actually limited edition which came out few years back. I found it at local Watson's but nowadays they don't carries Red Earth's products anymore. I still remember the Red Earth Cosmetics was first seen at Esprit's Shop- lots. They were expensive- sense of cosmetics for every buyer those days. But, what happen now is too many cosmetics are mushroom- ming around. Nowadays you only can find this brand at Sasa and it is no more popular.

The Balm- Balmbini

Dry  Swatches

Do you see that? The lip color stained my skin.

I bought this product on June 2011. Today, April 7, 2012 I was actually trying to get some swatches for you guys to see the textures and pigmentation but ended up to discover this lip gloss been dried out. It becomes lumpy and I have to dig in to get the product out to show you.

This is a very good investment if you are looking for a combination makeup set. The original price was RM130 but I bought it at the price of 50% discount. Yeah..

PROs:
- They were cheap (after discount). I will never buy if it remains RM130!
- Both lip color and gloss smell very nice~ And they look gorgeous on my lips with the moisture- look shine (I personally don't feel they are hydrating my lips. They just LOOK healthy)
- Eyeshadows pigmentation are awesome! I like the way they feel and blend easily.
- The 'Mary- Lou Manizer' is really versatile to any kinds of look with multi- purpose usages.
- I adore the blushes!!!
- I like the way the company design the palette in such a way lip products were separated with powder products! Brilliant job!
- The combination can be use for day and night looks!!!
- I can just carry this product and go traveling without hassle!

CONs:
- The lip gloss dried up because of no tight seal. Yeah, this is only a magnetic kind of packaging~
- Although lips products were separated, but a little powder falls out slipped into the lip products still~

Semi Precious Collection Mineralize Eyeshadows (Smoked Ruby & Blue Sheen)

They are very pretty in the pans.. No doubt MAC is a famous brand in the world. Who will able to resists to put their hands- on this 2 beautiful shadows? When this Semi- Precious Collection released, people got crazy to buy them. But only getting into my attention were these 'Smoked Ruby' and 'Blue Sheen' The pictures show dry swatches on my hand and they looks pretty. But when comes to real application to my eyes, I just feel like ALL BLACK~ Their black under tones are too strong. Especially the application involves blending with makeup brushes. During blending, the unique color is sweep off and leaving the black under tone to stay on the eyelids.

Overall, I don't regret buying them.. but I learn a lesson.I'll never buy their mineralize/ baked eyeshadows! They can be work well in wet or with good eye primer but I just feel like for that I pay so much, they suppose work well by it's own.

Price: RM83 each

Wet n' Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow (Comfort Zone)

My thoughts on this product are:
- I'm feeling sad that why I can't find this at Malaysia & Singapore?
- I'm spending quite a lots of money to get this product. I know this product should cost around US$4.99 but to get this I spent RM48 which equal to + US$15!!!!
- This is so not fair for us. I still remember when I was in secondary school, I found Wet n' Wild products around... Hopefully the company can reconsider to try marketing again in Malaysia~

 PROs:
Okay, come back to the story. I find the product is so smooth, almost 'buttery- like' texture which I think it is awesome for drugstore makeup. The pigmentation and color selection are very unique, again for the drugstore makeup it is like never in the market!

CONs:
Because they are so buttery- like, it cracks during shipping to Malaysia... I won't recommend you to bring this for travelling. It is so messy~

Packaging Claims:
1. stunning collection of silky, ultra- pigmented day to night  colors (YES, I agree!)
2. mix and match for a variety of looks from sweet to wild (Yes, I agree for naked to wild looks but NOT for SWEET!)
3. all day, crease resistant color (YES, I agree for certain color BUT not ALL...)
